She's covered sports for the biggest outlets in the world. She spent almost a decade reporting on sports for The Washington Post, including tennis, football and basketball. Nichols began her career at ESPN in 2004 and stayed for nine years there, earning the network two Emmy Awards. The show was watched by more than one billion viewers throughout the globe. Nichols reported on NBA broadcasts on TNT as well as the playoffs, regular season and all-star broadcasts. Alongside the reporting on TBS, she also covered broadcasts of golf and baseball as well as the Final Four on CBS. It was only the 2nd time in the company's 42 years that women were selected from more than 200 nominations.
